O brother where art thou

I didn't like this movie a whole lot. Only because i enjoy historical movies better than the spin off made out of them. The movie was alright enough to hold my intrest. i thought i was cool how the took odysseus vanity and pride and portrayed it in to his very particular hair gelly. how he wouldn't use any other one but the one he wanted.

Romeo and Juliet: Act Two

In act Two i like the part where Romeo and Benvoleo were talking and Romeo was complaining about how Roseline won't have sex with him. When i read this i thought is was kind of funny because if you don't really know what there talking about some people would think some of the things Romeo says is really pretty and sweet.
i think that it will effect the future with romeo and Juliet because Romeo is going to get hung up on Juliet really easy and do anything for her. I think he will be reckless and not think things through.

Characters in Romeo and Juliet

One of the characters in Romeo and Juliet that is in scene 1 is, Romeo. In this scene Romeo portrays himself as a emotional wreck, depressed, emo, kind of person. Someone that is so hung up on a girl that he chooses not to live. I think that romeo would have nice hair and deep eyes. i also think that romeo would be athletic. If i met Romeo i would have thought he wa cute but not liked him cause he is stupid for be so girl crazy.
I know this guy, (so do you Mrs. Gilman) Kyle, he always gets so hung up on girls its really stupid. He is a nice person but sometimes he is stupid and just dumb and i get really annoyed at him.

Anticipating Shakespear

There are a lot of movies that take Shakespeare ideas and make them there own. One such movie is The Notebook. This movie is actually a lot like Romeo and Juliet. And they most likely read the play to prepare for the movie.
The movie, the notebook is a like in that it has: Star-crossed lovers. they fall in love then get separated, but in the end their love will not be denied. Both the movi and the play portray love above all else.

Romeo and Juliet: Premonitions

when i was 8 or 10, i don't really know how old i was, but it was around that time, i was getting ready for bed. Though i don't know why i was getting ready for bed because i knew i wasn't going to go to bed anytime soon, it was July 3rd! and i was excited! after a long time of lying on my top bunck bed awake listing to the fire works outside i drifted asleep.
after while i started dreaming about a jungle, with forests, rivers, and waterfalls. i sarted to run through the jugle and after a while i came to stop at the waterfall. Being the ever-enthusatic-and-outgoing-not-to-mention-hyper person that i am, without a moments hesitation i jumped. and as i did i noticed just how hight the waterfall was. i twisted so i was falling backwards, feeling the all-to-real sinking and rising of my stomach just when-
"ow!" waking up finding my self on the floor of my dark room crying from the pain percing in my spine.
so thats what happened. i fell from my bunck bed on my curved spine, and it hurt a lot. i don't know what i could of done to prevent from this happening because i sqwirm a lot in my sleep and i knew that i would fall off the bed the first day i got it. i told my dad, but he said i was safe. so from now on, i am right...always.

one of the main reasons romeo and juliet is such a great play, is because of the love they have for one another. the willingness to do anything for each other, even die.i chose this picture not just because it is CLEARLY a picture of romeo and juliet from a play/ballet. but because of the pain you see on the juliets face in the picture. the of losing her true love after giving up everything for him.

I think this movie is related to romeo and juliet because it has;unrequited love,where they are seperated from one another. also in both cases the girl has a fiance that she was going to marry, but in the end there first loves could not be forgotten. whether it lead to death or a happy life together that was the only thing that differed.

Anticipating Shakespeare

Shakespeare, so far, has been a good experience. the lauguage is complicated and at time confussing but easy enough to follow along with. The caharacters in a A Midsummer Night's Dream remind me of some of the people i know in high school. The plot and stories also rimind me of some of the trails that you would experience in high school, such as; love trangiles, gossip, and misunderstandings.
I can't wait till we start Romeo and Juliet. I have always liked the story, i have read it before and i have also seen the movie many times. i am very excited to start Romeo and Juliet and will have a lot of fun these next two months.

I really enjoy animal farm, i like it because it has to do with history. I like history a lot, and i remember a lot about the Russian Revolution. Something i like about the book is the way its told in the third person narration. I like this because your not just limited to only know what one person has to think and feel.. I think this is important to the understanding of the book because you'r able to understand the Russian Revolution better.
I also enjoy the characters because i dont think they just represent the russian revolution but are own characteristics and flaws. Like Napolean, he shows are need of Man to be in control and have absolute power. Mollie shows the need to have what we want, when we want it, how we want it. With Buster, its the more helpful side of putting the extra effort in for some one else and not thinking about ourselfs but the needs of others. He alo show the more stupid side of blind faith, which is good in theory but with faith you need trust, and with trust you need proof.
